Heres a few transaction scenarios for you, you can also check out the walgreens thread for more great ideas.

I try and arrange these Transactions so as to spend as little cash out of pocket as possible. That explains why there are sometimes several single order transactions and sometime I list just a couple of multiple order transactions.

Changes coming to this blog

I am a huge fan of Pinchingyourpennies.com. It is honestly the best deal/ coupon website. Even if your not a couponer its great, they have lists that lay out exactly where to get the best price on produce, the good deals for each store, and many other deals. I have decided that I dont have time to keep up with my 3 under 3, my love for PYP and this blog so I am turning this blog into a link resource instead of a deal finder. I will still be updating regularly without spreading myself too thin.

FREE Stuff

Try out:
Walmart Free Samples: they have a few things and they rotate so check back often to get more free samples. The samples make great individually wrapped items for 72+ hr kits, such as Tampons, Shampoos etc!

Buddy Bars

Yeah, I went and bought coupons on Ebay (40 for $5) so I could get these free and then I found this IP. Print it twice using the back button and you can get 6 buddybars free. These would be great in 73hr kits or stock up for your years supply. Ohh sorry you probably need more details. The Q is for $3/3 and right now at Walmart there $0.97, the cashier will usually adjust the price so it matchs. My poor cashier on Friday had to do it 36 times.

GE Lightbulbs at Broulims
They still have these on sale for $0.99 and theres a $1 IP here making FREE lightbulbs.

Price Lists

Here are the Price lists: Thanks to PYP for a lot of the information. There a work in progress, there are many blanks but I'm filling them in as I shop! What a great excuse to shop!!

Winco and other stores

Here is a forum for Idaho that includes many of the stores I dont have. There is Winco, Broulims, Albertsons and a couple others. Check out how there deals go.

Reconstructed Clothing

Craftster.org is a great place to get ideas. Have a shirt or skirt that still fits but you no longer love, try reconstructing it. Get tons of ideas for both the sewing expert and novice here. They have a reconstructed section, as well as sewing from scratch, kids clothing and discussion boards.

Reasoning

In these "troubling economic times" everyone's looking for ways to save money, put something aside and plan for the future. So after some prompting heres a spot we can exchange ideas, recipes and thoughts on how to "Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, or Do without" as was the motto of the Great Depression. I'll try and keep things update with the ideas that hopefully come rolling in. Feel free to send links to coupons, budget meal ideas, sales, and anything else you can think of.
